Thanking All of You!!

Dear Brother ACMs, VAI and CM Fathers,

Foremost, I would like to ask an apology to all of you for not answering your email since Claude passed away last Monday. I and my wife Nora have been reflecting why God took away Claude to us. We've been questioning Him why? So sudden and very painful to accept. However as we continue reflecting we realize how good the Lord is to us! Claude has been very instrumental in making us become a living testimony of God's infinite goodness to his people. Claude has taught us to become generous in every thing. I and my wife Nora was amazed of what things turned out prior to Claude's operation. Donations of money from VAIbrothers, CM Fathers of Adamson and ACM brothers who came to visit us at Phil Heart Center cheering us and Claude, donating blood and bringing food to us during Claude was at the recovery room. Came monday when our Almighty in his deep Love for Claude decided to end his suffering at 8pm... all of us was shocked in disbelief for the news..but again His will be done.

This time I and my wife has accepted already what happened to Claude and we firmly believe that it is His will and His will be done.

On behalf of my wife and family, I would like to thank all of you for all your support. Without your help we might have been lost in adistance. Claude has taught us a memorable story that will never be forgotten... because the lesson it leaves is within our hearts . We will continue to pray for Claude and we are sure He is now in the company of Angels in heaven who will constantly be praying for us.

Special Thanks to:VAI BROTHERS, ACM BROTHERS, CM FATHERS OF SAN MARCELINO AND ADAMSON, SANCTUARIO DE SAN VICENTE, and other seminary friends who extended their help to my son Claude Wayne.

Thanking all you,
Rey M. Fuentivilla

Claude Rests in God's Loving Embrace

Just this moment I got a call from Rey. CLAUDE WAYNE passed away in the ICU. Rey would like to thank everyone. Let us continue praying for his soul & the family.

- Meng Javier

Dear Rey Fuentivilla and members of VAI-USA and ACM,

It is with sadness that I accept the news of Claude-Wayne, whom many of us have appropriately called "angel." Sadness because I share the grief of the Fuentivilla family in having to let go of a precious child. Yet I am so much more moved by how the members of the VAI-USA and ACM have bonded together in such marvelous efforts to do something for the health and physical well-being of Claude-Wayne. In this instance as in your support of Fr. Gestie you have shown yourselves to be real members of a family with a heart. Am so proud to be a part, silent one, of your group. I thank the Lord for your openness of heart and generosity. I am sure the grief of the Fuentivillas will be softened by the assurance of your help and prayers. Truly Claude-Wayne is smiling on you who have shown him love. Thank you all for being so Vincentian! I share fully what Gestie, Ed Joc, and the Castros have expressed.

We will be offering a special Mass for Claude Wayne tomorrow in our chapel here at the Provincial House.

-fr. manny m, cm

Rey,

I'm so sorry to hear the news. What happened? I thought Claude was already on his way to recovery as I have been keeping myself regularly updated with all the developments with you since the time I had emailed you from the start.

My sincerest condolence and prayers.

- Ferdie

Rey,

Our condolences and prayers. We will forever remember the brave face of Claude. He taught us to be courageous and generous in life. He showed us to rally behind a difficult cause and fight to the end.

For several weeks, he was the preoccupation of our minds and families hoping and praying that one day we will meet him in Iloilo. But I guess, the Lord has a different plan. He is now in the company of the blessed. I know he will pray for us. He is now in his best position to show us more his love for us.

I know this is very difficult for your family that is why we will continue on praying for you.

Mabalos,
Alex

Rey:

I thank Claude for letting the group realize that we, Vincentians, from different places, from different generations could stand as one. That is one legacy that the group will always keep.

I hope it is that easy to think, but its true that Claude is now in a world filled with unmitigated joy with the Father. He is in an unimaginable and unending state of contentment. In a way, we should all be happy for him.

We hope to see you again, Claude! Show us the way!

Thanks.

Jord

THE SANTUARIO DE SAN VICENTE DE PAUL EXTENDS ITS
PRAYERS AND CONDOLENCES TO THE PARENTS OF CLAUDE.

-FR. RHEY, CM

Dear ACMers,

You may visit the body of "Angel" Claude Wayne Fuentivilla at the chapel of San Marcelino. Tentative flight to Ilo-ilo will be on Thursday morning for the funeral and burial services.

Please continue praying for our "Angel".

-Bogs

Dear Rey and Family,

From one parent to another, please accept my family's sympathy as you deal with the pain associated with your grief.
Having been in the road you are now traveling, we could ask a million times "why?," but the answer will not come in our time, but in God's.
By echoing the sentiments of most, we should all be comforted by the fact that Claude is now in a place where there is no more pain nor strife; but instead, he is now laughing and beaming with pride as he tells a courageous story that was his life, while sitting on Mama Mary's lap...touching the face of God.
Brothers, it took the heart of a child to strengthen our faith today. In his honor, we should reminisce about the radiance of his smile and the gallantry by which he fought his personal battles. More importantly, lets us now reflect on not what Claude could have been, but instead, on what he really is...a soul so precious that God decided to call him home ...and give him his hard earned wings.
So fly gentle and dauntless soul for now...you are truly free.

From our grieving hearts to yours,
-Vann, Cristina, Caitlyn Joy and Charldrin Vincent; with our daughter in heaven, Charlene Emma.

ACM'S UPDATE

Acms,

Just want to follow-up your pledges for claude wayne's operation.

For those who have not given them yet and for those who still want to give, you may give them personally to rey. He and his family are now at rm 329 of the philippine heart center.

This afternoon, november 9, 2006 at around 3:30 pm, acm efren "bogs" dancel, who is with rey at the heart center, texted me that claude's operation was successfull.

Thanks for your donation/assistance , in whatever forms, prayers and of course, unity that all of you have exemplified in this most difficult time for the fuentivilla family.

May God bless us all and continue to use us in concretizing his love to mankind.

Ambet Guevarra
ACM President

VAI's REPORT AND REQUEST

Brothers & Sisters,

Last Monday, November 6, 2006, Fr. Ed Jocson transmitted to Rey Fuentivilla the peso equivalent of $2,655.00, the amount VAI-USA generated in the fund campaign for the benefit of Claude Wayne Fuentivilla. We decided to send the money via Rapid Padala because of the urgent need for the Fuentivillas to come up with the money outright or the surgery will not be performed. I realize that Claude Wayne is still in surgery at this very moment that I am making this update. Let us hold him in our thoughts and prayers as well as Rey and his family.

I have highlighted a sentence in the message of Rey that I was deeply touched. I don't know where he else he can highly count and expect for God's help other than through you and me, his Vincentian Family. We will continue to receive any donations, big or small, for the Fuentivillas and you can send them to me.

Thanks and God bless.

CLAUDE NEEDS OUR PRAYERS

I have just received an email from Meng and a text from Rey that Claude is about to be operated on. It will take roughly eight hours to do that. This is a very trying experience for the family but a very courageous act of Claude to subject himself to a surgery in a very young age. I can't imagine the tension but I can also sense the power of prayer.
The generosity of the members of the VAI and CM proved to be so powerful. This outpouring of help is characteristically the result of the formation given to us by the Vincentians. The charity is so deeply rooted that it transcends geographical locations and economical situation.
Claude Wayne made us do this unprecedented act. He is the instrument that let us revitalize our culture of giving.
I can't imagine the feeling of Rey and Nora today. Seeing your son being ushered to the operating room for a very delicate operation that will take more than seven hours is unimaginable.
But this is life's processes. I know the family will emerge from this situation victorious, strong and more close to the Lord than ever. Claude Wayne showed us the way. So young, yet so courageous.
Let us continue in praying for the family of Rey and Nora and for all of us.

CLAUDE WAYNE FUENTIVILLA FUND DRIVE REPORT

Brothers and Sisters:

We are happy to announce that our campaign to support the plight of the Fuentivillas has generated a significant response from many generous and magnanimous hearts. As approved by the Board of Directors of VAI, the Committee on Special Relief Services has requested that the money generated from the Fund Drive in the amount of $2,655.00 be released and transmitted to our beneficiary, the Fuentivillas. As of this moment, Fr. Ed Jocson is facilitating and coordinating the electronic transmittal of these funds to the Fuentivillas via the ACM Philippines account.

We have attached in the email (sent to ACM and VAI) a list of our donors. It is not our intent to publicize the goodness of their hearts nor to trumpet their acts of kindness. But for transparency of our activities, we are obliged to do so. For those who in one way or the other have requested to remain anonymous, we respected their request to remain so. We will continue to receive donations and will transmit them as they come. Lastly, let us continue to pray for one of our own and his family.

Thank you for your generosity. And as for the Lord's generosity to you, we know that His can never be outdone.

FUNDS TRANSMITTAL

Rey,

This morning, Fr. Ed Jocson transmitted through Rapid Padala the equivalent of $2,655.00 from VAI-USA donations. They will be calling you so they can deliver the amount to you. I suggested that they deliver it to you in Adamson for security and safety reasons. The turn around time is 24 hours so you should be getting the money tomorrow. Please confirm upon receipt of the amount. Keep us posted on the progress of Wayne and in the interim we will continue to hold you in our prayers.

God Bless.

Claude in Manila Now!

Sir Dale, How are you sir Dale?

I received text from Alex regthe changes on how to transmitt your VAI donation toClaude. I texed Alex that if ever you can give my cp#to your brother in law so as we can meet somewhereelse. We have just arrived from Phil Heart Center and forthe update: Claude will be confined tomorrow afternoonand his operation will be thursday Nov 9, 2006. Thehospital is asking us an initial deposit worth P120Kupon confinement, that will be tomorrow. That is why Iam again asking your help for this.
Presently we haveonly P45k at hand. According to Doc Aventura'ssecretary, the hospital has a new ruling in their"package deal" scheme. That the patient shall shoulderfirst the payments/bills and it will be refundedlater by the hospital to the patient depending on howmuch the PCSO will shoulder. I dont know how are wegoing to handle this but with God's help we can gothrough all these challenges. Brothers,I will update you reg Claude's ordeal fromtime to time. Again we are asking for your prayers forhim.

PCSO UPDATE

I've just talked to Rey and asked about his update on PCSO. Last Monday, Rey met Ms. Janet Oberio, Regional Head of PCSO-Iloilo. Ms.Oberio was already expecting her a week ago when Mr. William Medici called her about Claude's case. She gave her the PCSO list of requirements in order for her to endorse the case to PCSO HO for approval. Rey told me that they've complied with all the requirements except for the clinical abstract because the Claude's Pedia Cardiologist is still in vacation. He expect the doctor to return by Nov 7. In the meantime, that they'll be coming here in Manila, he has requested his mother-in-law to coordinate with the doctor on the PCSO requirement and submit the same to Ms. Oberio for endorsement to Manila
