Claude Rests in God's Loving Embrace

Just this moment I got a call from Rey. CLAUDE WAYNE passed away in the ICU. Rey would like to thank everyone. Let us continue praying for his soul & the family.

- Meng Javier

Dear Rey Fuentivilla and members of VAI-USA and ACM,

It is with sadness that I accept the news of Claude-Wayne, whom many of us have appropriately called "angel." Sadness because I share the grief of the Fuentivilla family in having to let go of a precious child. Yet I am so much more moved by how the members of the VAI-USA and ACM have bonded together in such marvelous efforts to do something for the health and physical well-being of Claude-Wayne. In this instance as in your support of Fr. Gestie you have shown yourselves to be real members of a family with a heart. Am so proud to be a part, silent one, of your group. I thank the Lord for your openness of heart and generosity. I am sure the grief of the Fuentivillas will be softened by the assurance of your help and prayers. Truly Claude-Wayne is smiling on you who have shown him love. Thank you all for being so Vincentian! I share fully what Gestie, Ed Joc, and the Castros have expressed.

We will be offering a special Mass for Claude Wayne tomorrow in our chapel here at the Provincial House.

Rey,

I'm so sorry to hear the news. What happened? I thought Claude was already on his way to recovery as I have been keeping myself regularly updated with all the developments with you since the time I had emailed you from the start.

My sincerest condolence and prayers.

- Ferdie

Rey,

Our condolences and prayers. We will forever remember the brave face of Claude. He taught us to be courageous and generous in life. He showed us to rally behind a difficult cause and fight to the end.

For several weeks, he was the preoccupation of our minds and families hoping and praying that one day we will meet him in Iloilo. But I guess, the Lord has a different plan. He is now in the company of the blessed. I know he will pray for us. He is now in his best position to show us more his love for us.

I know this is very difficult for your family that is why we will continue on praying for you.

Mabalos,
Alex

Rey:

I thank Claude for letting the group realize that we, Vincentians, from different places, from different generations could stand as one. That is one legacy that the group will always keep.

I hope it is that easy to think, but its true that Claude is now in a world filled with unmitigated joy with the Father. He is in an unimaginable and unending state of contentment. In a way, we should all be happy for him.

We hope to see you again, Claude! Show us the way!

Thanks.

Jord

Dear ACMers,

You may visit the body of "Angel" Claude Wayne Fuentivilla at the chapel of San Marcelino. Tentative flight to Ilo-ilo will be on Thursday morning for the funeral and burial services.

Please continue praying for our "Angel".

Dear Rey and Family,

From one parent to another, please accept my family's sympathy as you deal with the pain associated with your grief.
Having been in the road you are now traveling, we could ask a million times "why?," but the answer will not come in our time, but in God's.
By echoing the sentiments of most, we should all be comforted by the fact that Claude is now in a place where there is no more pain nor strife; but instead, he is now laughing and beaming with pride as he tells a courageous story that was his life, while sitting on Mama Mary's lap...touching the face of God.
Brothers, it took the heart of a child to strengthen our faith today. In his honor, we should reminisce about the radiance of his smile and the gallantry by which he fought his personal battles. More importantly, lets us now reflect on not what Claude could have been, but instead, on what he really is...a soul so precious that God decided to call him home ...and give him his hard earned wings.
So fly gentle and dauntless soul for now...you are truly free.

From our grieving hearts to yours,
-Vann, Cristina, Caitlyn Joy and Charldrin Vincent; with our daughter in heaven, Charlene Emma.
